Your Classroom on Wheels

The number of historical sites, national monuments, museums, art galleries and cultural festivals in the U.S. is seemingly endless. Your RV allows you to experience all that the country has to offer wihtou ever feeling like you’ve left the comforts of home behind. The only question left to be answered is, what will you discover?

In fall & winter:

Take a trip back to the Middle Ages with an RV weekend at a Renaissance Festival. Take along your own costumes, and after a day of jousting with the crowds, retreat to your RV to prepare a platter of turkey legs fit for a King.

Tour Civil War and early American History battlefields from coast to coast, especially when a reenactment or celebration is planned. After you spend the day going back in time, you can spend the evening enjoying the modern conveniences of your RV.

Participate in history. Pack up your archaeology books and maps and head out to a dig site. Volunteer for the day, and watch Jurassic Park or Indiana Jones in your RV on the way home.

Dust off your air-guitar and go on an RV magical mystery tour to visit Cleveland’s Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame and introduce the kids to the roots of today’s music. Listen to your favorite classics on the RV’s surround-sound stereo system on the drive and again at the end of a hectic sightseeing day.

Head to the Big Apple (or any big city of your choice) in your RV. There are always campgrounds on the outskirts that serve the city, so enjoy the art and culture scene without paying for an expensive room downtown. And your RV will offer far more personal space than a pricey hotel room.

In spring & summer:

On Arbor Day (the last Friday in April), fill the RV with kids, saplings and shovels and embark on a mission to help beautify the earth. The best part is, after the good deeds are done, everyone will have a chance to wash up before snacks are served.

Make this Mother's Day a memorable celebration in your RV. Treat mom to a stress-free weekend away at her favorite destination, and make her a special breakfast in bed on her special day. (Of course, to be fair, you'll have to do the same for dad on Father's Day.)

Take an RV trip to an amusement park. Most parks allow you to exit during the day, and you can head to the RV for a refreshing lunch away from the crowds. Best of all, the kids will have their own beds to collapse in after a long, exciting day.

Head out on one of the many National Scenic Byways.  Travel in style and comfort, while watching some of the country's best scenery through large picture windows. Be sure to make stops at scenic overlooks and plan to have a picnic at one of the breathtaking sites along the way.

Take your RV to the next North American solar or lunar eclipse. Avoid the rush on hotel rooms -- get a blanket, sit outside your RV, listen to your radio and enjoy the sky show.

And who said learning had to be boring? RVs help make everyday excursions more exciting and special events, moments to be remembered. Best of all, with kids, they’ll just think they’re having fun.
